Why is our Dance Team different from a competitive dance program?
We have found in our travels that the term Competitive Dance Team can sound intimidating, and the commitments can be exhausting and expensive. As well, a Competitive Dance training program can develop a ‘Training For The Trophy’ mindset, where dance training becomes solely focused on rehearsal and choreography for the possibility of high scores rather than the development and enjoyment of the dancer.
Our All Stars Performance Dance Team is a flexible experience tailored to the individual dancers, as well as the Team as a whole, to keep the focus on what matters most: The love of dance!
We strongly believe that while dance competitions hold much value to the training and growth of dance performers, success should be measured by the progress of each dancer toward their own goals and the thrill of a performance they can be proud of!
