Participating in the Rising Stars program means becoming a role model and ambassador for DSA and your fellow classmates.

This apprenticeship placement prepares dancers for a continuing career in the dance industry as they begin their training to become Assistant Teachers, Junior Instructors, and eventually independent solo Instructors.

The Rising Star Program is a multi-phase training platform for experienced dance students ages 12 and up. Our Rising Stars assist with classes, camps, and more!

Miss Audrey is excited to be a junior dance instructor for the Tiny Hip Hop class at Dance Stars Academy, where she has been dancing since 2019. She loves teaching hip hop to our Tiny Dancers and seeing them improve each week.

Miss Audrey looks forward to inspiring more young dancers and sharing her passion with them!

Miss Jaymie

Miss Jaymie is thrilled to be a Tiny Ballet junior instructor at Dance Stars! Having danced since the age of 18 months, she explored various dance styles, including jazz, tap, Irish dancing, acro, and hip-hop. As a dedicated ballet dancer, she had the privilege of performing with Jorgendance in their production of ‘Anne of Green Gables.’ Additionally, she was accepted into the summer intensive at Ballet Victoria.

Since 2018, she has been part of the Dance Stars family. With a passion for helping young dancers discover their love for ballet, she eagerly looks forward to sharing the joy of dance with the tiny ballerinas.

Miss Maliha is 13 years old and is a teacher assistant in Little Cirque and the Tiny Tap classes at Dance Stars Academy.

She has been doing competitive dance as part of the All Stars Performance team at Dance Stars Academy for the past two years as well as continuing to learn many new dance styles, she cannot wait to share that experience with our Little Cirque and Tiny Tap dancers!

Miss Penny enjoys teaching young dancers and is excited to continue to do so as a junior instructor. She has been studying ballet for eleven years at Dance Stars Academy and assists the Tiny Ballet classes.

Penny enjoys helping and teaching the younger dancers to learn new things in their classes.

Penny’s favourite part of being a Rising Star is seeing the young dancers having lots of fun and she loves teaching them new things!
